Robert (Bob) Leo Brown, 92, of Burleson, Texas, passed peacefully into his eternal home in heaven on Friday, February 11, 2022. Bob was born on January 12, 1930, in Denver, Colorado, to Eugene E. Brown and Alice M. Brown.
He married Mary Jane Callaway on September 9, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. Together,
they had 4 children: Linda Marie Brown Sellers, Thomas Edward Brown, Cynthia Jean
Brown Sellers, and Jamie Lynn Brown McLaughlin. He married Annamarie (Mitzi) Grutz
on May 8, 1987, in Golden, Colorado.
He served in the United States Navy from 1947-to 1951. He was a draftsman by trade
and worked for Martin Marietta, Texas Instruments, and E Systems throughout the
years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, NASCAR,
and playing the lottery. He was especially fond of his dog, Dude.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Callaway Brown; son, Thomas
Edward Brown; brother, Eugene E. Brown; brother, Jack Warren Brown; brother,
Joseph Ralph Brown; son-in-law, Troy Keith Sellers; and great-grandson, Landon Keith
Sellers.
He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Brown; his children Linda Sellers; Cindy Sellers and
husband, Craig; Jamie McLaughlin and husband, Jim; Joan Smith; Karla Collier, Kurt
Grutz and wife, Miriam; his grandchildren, Amy Albro and husband, Leland; Angie
Trammel and husband, Joe; Bret Sellers and wife, Jennifer; Jim Brown and wife, Susan;
Chris Brown; Matthew Smith; Allen Hughes and wife, Adrienne; Randy Sellers and wife,
RaShelle; Chad Sellers and fiance, April McCannon; Richard McLaughlin and wife, Liz;
Wendi McLaughlin; Tommy McLaughlin; Amber Collier; Stephan Collier; and Chloe
Grizzafe; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on March 20, 2022, at the Sadler Community Center,
Sadler, Texas. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Denver, Colorado. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Hospital.
