A Life Well Lived

Robert T. Clarkson of Hurst, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 20, 2016 in Hurst, TX.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on December 23 at Lucas Funeral with Pastor Brad Martin of Shady Oaks Baptist Church officiating. The internment will follow at Blue Bonnet Hills.
Rob was born on October 23, 1926 in Oil City, PA and moved to Texas with his wife, Eleanor in 1952 to begin a 34 year career at Bell Helicopter. The couple recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary and Rob’s 90th birthday.
As we celebrate Rob’s life, we are reminded of his compassion for people, sense of humor, and love of adventure. Always the perfect gentleman, Rob believed in old-fashion values and the wellness of others. This is a legacy he shared with his children and grandchildren.
Above all else, Rob’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. He loved and adored each of them dearly and treasured the times he spent with them watching them grow and become kind and loving adults.
Rob was preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Ina Clarkson, and his two sisters and brother.
His legacy will continue through his wife Eleanor Clarkson, children Jeff and Shari Clarkson and Lorri Murphy, grandchildren Kari Gray; Justin Gray and Sarah Reynolds; Travis Gray; Emily and JR Griffith; Jarrett and Sarah Clarkson; Elaine and Aaron Jackson; Ellen Clarkson; step-grandchildren Erin and Wyler Burks; Ryan Lynch and Carley Owens; and dear, long time friends Gene and Mona Holt.
