Robert “Craig” Nielsen, Sr. of Colleyville passed away May 9 in Grapevine.
Visitation: Friday, 6-8 p.m., Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst; Funeral Service: Saturday, 2 p.m., Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Hurst with burial to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Nielsen was born June 28, 1948 in Chicago to Carl and Bernice Nielsen. He married Teresa “Terri” Anderson in 1975 and worked in the Oil and Gas industry.
Mr. Nielsen was an avid baseball fan, particularly the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed golfing and spending time with family.
Mr. Nielsen was preceded in death by his parents, his son Robert Craig “Robby” Nielsen, Jr., his brother Chris Nielsen his nephew Mikie Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Terri Nielsen; brother Gig (Cindy) Nielsen; sister-in-law Kathy Nielsen; and nieces and nephews Shelley (Joey) Hebert, Stephie (Kevin) Petty, Mary Michelle Anderson, Ricky (Mindy) Anderson, Becky Sipple, Kenny Clymer, Kim (Mark) Jensen, Heather Howe, Bard (Krista) Nielsen, Wolf (Kelly) Nielsen and Charlie (Katie) Nielsen.
