Robert “Bob” Flowers, age 66 of Burleson, Texas passed away, Thursday, August 24, 2023. He was born September 12, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Daniel J. Flowers and Roberta Alexandria Beaubien-Flowers.
He enlisted in the Navy in 1973 at the age of 17 and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Honolulu, Hawaii during the Vietnam War as a petty officer 3rd class-Cryptologist Technician (CTR3). He received several accommodations as a cryptotech during his service and received an Honorable Discharge in 1975.
Bob retired from JPMorgan Chase in 2018 after 20 years as a Disaster Recover Manager and received a Foundation Certificate in IT Services Management among many other honors.
He was a collector of a wide variety of items and was an avid sports fan especially when it came to the “Chicago Cubs” and “Chicago Bears”. He had a keen and witty sense of humor and was a huge charmer, was also a friend to Bill W. for 20 years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Daniel J. Flowers and Roberta Beaubien-Flowers; brother Charles “Chuck” Flowers; and step-son Garrison Lacy.
He is survived by his wife Karla Paulk-Flowers: brother Daniel Flowers and wife Laura; step-daughters: Teresa Lillie-Linwick and husband Daniel, Julie Greer and husband Lonnie, Lauran Tinoco and spouse Valerie, Alayna Bolton and husband Skyler: 3 grandchildren; Evin, Ace, Stevie and niece and several nephews.
His cremation will be at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson, TX. A memorial/celebration of live service to be held at a later day.
