Robert David Guerrero

Robert David Guerrero was born on August 16, 1965 in Austin, Texas to the late Graciela Elizabeth Gonzalez and Robert Louis Guerrero. He passed away on June 21, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 57 years old.

Robert was a 1983 graduate of Western Hills High where he played football and baseball. He was All-Tarrant County lineman as a Nose Guard. He then attended Tarleton University in Stephenville, Texas where he was a member of the historic Sunflower Bowl Champion Tarleton Texan Football Team that was inducted into the Tarleton Athletic Hall of Fame. He worked as a master carpenter before he attended and graduated from the police academy in 1998. He was a dedicated and beloved police officer with Fort Worth Police Department until his untimely passing. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed being a meat smoking master. He loved the Lord and was a committed member of Capstone Church where he enjoyed his Wednesday night fellowships with his brothers and sisters in Christ. His most favorite role in life was being a loving and loyal father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Graciela Guerrero.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Raquel Guerrero of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Matthew Owen of Weatherford, Texas; and brother, Daniel Guerrero also of Fort Worth, Texas; he is also survived by his brother and sisters of the Fort Worth Police department, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Hurst. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Capstone Church in Benbrook followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth.
