Robert E. Mullins passed away from heart failure December 21, 2017 at his home in North Richland Hills, TX just 6 days before his 74th birthday. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00am at St. John Apostle Church in North Richland Hills, TX with graveside service afterwards at Shiloh Cemetary in Flower Mound, TX.
Bob was born December 27, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA. As an infant, he moved to Oak Hill, WV where he lived until he joined the Air Force after high school graduation. He worked for Braniff Airlines until they went out of business, and after a brief period of others jobs, he went to work for American Airlines, where he retired as a crew chief. Bob was an avid golfer and was a volunteer employee of Meadowbrook Golf Course in Fort Worth where he played golf multiple times per week with his many golfing buddies.
He is survived by his son, Christopher McGough of Ajijic, Mexico and Christopher’s four children; son, Brian Kickhoefer and his wife Laura of San Antonio, TX and their three children; and son Bart Kickhoefer of Glen Rose, TX and his two children. Also, by his four stepchildren: Thomas Blankenship and his wife Sheila of Burleson, TX; Patrick Blankenship and his wife Wendy of Bedford, TX; Kelly Blankenship and his wife Rebecca of Fort Worth, TX, and Christa Blankenship of Whitney, TX. From the Blankenships he is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brother, David Mullins of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carlene Blankenship Mullins; his mother, Carmella Pizzino Mullins; and his father Billy Mullins.
