Robert “Bob” James Riedel, 76, passed away on August 17, 2022.
Bob was born on January 12, 1946, in Geneva, Ohio to Morris Riedel and Coletta Winnen Millar.
He spent his days outdoors playing sports and exploring the wilderness of Avon Lake, Ohio.
In 1963, Bob met Constance “Connie” Clare Riedel, whom he later married on May 14, 1966.
Together they had three children, Timothy Allen, Theodore Albert, and Tina Ann.
Bob loved sports and he passed this passion along to his children. He taught them how to play
golf and the importance of cheering for the home teams, the Cleveland Browns and the
Cleveland Indians.
In 1981, Bob and Connie moved to Watauga, Texas, where Bob continued his 35-year career as
a fleet service clerk for American Airlines. The home they built in Texas served as a happy and
warm space where their eight grandchildren decorated Christmas cookies, played Tripoly on
New Years’ Day, and took living room naps after a Thanksgiving meal.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Coletta, and brother John Riedel. He is
survived by his wife Connie Riedel, his brother George Riedel and wife Cindy, his son Tim and
wife Marti Kay, his son Ted and wife Joann, his daughter Tina and husband Geoff Ryan, and
eight loving grandchildren.
