Robert (Rob) Louis Stuart age 72, passed away with loved ones by his side and went to be with the Lord on August 15, 2020.

There was a graveside service on Thursday, August 20th, at Sardis Baptist Cemetery, 222 Sardis Church Road, Farmerville, LA 71241.

Rob was born in Bunkie, Louisiana on November 13, 1947. He grew up in St. Landry Parish on his family’s dairy farm where he developed a passion for animal health. While attending Louisiana Tech University, he met and married the love of his life, Anne, in 1969. They were happily married for over 50 years. After they married, Rob obtained his master’s degree at LSU and Ph.D. at University of Kentucky in Animal Science.

Rob and Anne and were blessed with three children, Ryan, Allison, and Ashley. After living in three states, they moved to the Fort Worth, Texas area, in 1985. They were active members of First Baptist Euless (now Cross City Church) since 1995. Rob was an ordained deacon and taught Sunday School. He loved hymns, woodworking, gardening, sports, telling jokes, and had a heart for community volunteering.

In 1989, Dr. Stuart founded Stuart Products, Inc. after seeing a need to create animal nutritional supplements based upon sound scientific research. Through his pioneering vision, he developed the first natural-source injectable product line (VITAL E®). He later developed many innovative products, including: water soluble vitamin E (EMCELLE TOCOPHEROL®), powders, liquids, and paste products. His dedication for research and development led to many global studies at respected universities, and zoological parks. This resulted in global sales of his products. He was well respected in his industry and was world renowned as an animal nutrition expert with a passion for vitamin E. He loved teaching and educating anyone from customers to veterinarians about the need of fat-soluble vitamins for animals.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and in-laws.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Louisiana Baptist Children Home, Samaritan’s Purse, or Christian Veterinary Mission.
