Robert Joseph Walker was born on November 24, 1935, in Canon City, Colorado and passed away of natural causes on September 20, 2021, in Grapevine, Texas.
He was born to Wayne Elmer Walker and Edith Marie (Robinson) Walker. He spent most of his life in Southern California before moving to Fort Worth, Texas in 2015. Robert graduated from Fullerton Union High School in 1955 and graduated from Santa Monica City College in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1962.
He married Beverly Ann (Stodart) Walker on July 16, 1960. Beverly proceeded him in death on December 24, 2018.
Robert, along with his wife Beverly, owned and operated their own professional portrait studio in Newport Beach, California for over 50 years. He was a member of the Mariners Newport Beach Lion’s Club (including past President), the Costa Mesa Orange Coast Lion’s Club (including past President) and the Orange County PC User Group. He enjoyed volunteering at the Orange County Senior Center in Costa Mesa where he taught various computer courses, including Photoshop. Robert was active in the Boy Scouts throughout his life and served as Scoutmaster for Troop 106 in Costa Mesa. After his move to Texas, he joined the Keller Lion’s Club. Hobbies included photography, cooking and gardening.
Robert is survived by: Carol K. Walker (daughter), Michael J. Walker (son) and Jennifer (Ivers) Walker (daughter-in-law), as well as his three beloved grandchildren; Michael R. Walker, Mia M. Walker and Sarah J. Walker.
