Rodney Alan Boyd

Rodney Alan Boyd, 74 of North Richland Hills, Texas went to join the Lord Saturday June 4, 2022 after a prolonged illness. He was born July 9, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Katherine Martelle Jewson and Herbert Taylor Boyd.

He served in the United States Navy for six years, two in the reserves.

He married Nancy J. Fletcher on August 2, 1975. Although they had no children he loved his fur babies over the years like his children. He enjoyed fishing, building model cars, listening to jazz music, loved all of nature’s animals and contributed to many organizations to help those in need. He was a disabled veteran of the Viet Nam War and supported numerous veteran organizations. In his professional life, he had been a Mail Carrier with the U. S. Postal Service, a Texas Real Estate broker and a Service Manager at Bankston Nissan.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Nancy Boyd, sister Dawn Reid, brother-in law, Ron Reid from Norris, Tennessee and sister Robin Boyd of Garland, Texas. He is also survived by his niece Tiffanee Higgins of Mabank, Texas, her four children and Nancy’s nieces and nephews and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Herbert Boyd.
