On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Roger Lawrence Case, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was called home by his Lord and Savior to his eternal resting place.
Some knew him as Dad, Papa, Grandpa, Larry and Roger, but all of us knew him as friend and one of God’s servants.
Larry was born on September 11, 1936 in Albuquerque, NM to John and Alice Case. He joined the United States Navy in 1954 and served 4 years. On November 12, 1959 he married Cathy. They shared 30 years together until her passing in 1990. Together they raised two children, Laura and John. Larry joined Local Union 412 in March 1959. He retired from the pipefitters trade in 1998.
Larry’s passions were his family. He coached John’s baseball teams. As the grandkids came along his days were spent traveling to baseball, softball, volleyball games, gymnastic meets, cheerleading competitions, grandparent days at school and school functions. He was busy! And Larry did it all with the big smile he always wore.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura and David Hirsch, son, John Case, grandchildren Alyssa and husband Chad Thorne, Brittany and husband Dane Roper, Brooke and husband Cooper Cline, Johnny Case, Courtney Hirsch and Joshua Case. Great grandchildren Liam Thorne and Anniston Cline. Brother Patrick Case, sisters June Case and Kelly Beasey.
He is preceded in death by his father John Case and mother Alice Case, and his wife Merry Catherine (Cathy) Case.
