Roger Maurice Cleveland passed away on October 12, 2022. Roger was born on February 27, 1933 in Utica, NY, the son of Maurice and Florence (nee Bunn) Cleveland.
After graduating from Providence Bible Institute in Providence, RI, Roger married Janet Cone on May 5, 1956. He served in the United States Army. After his service was completed, Roger and Janet settled in Oneonta, NY and started their family. After several changes in location and careers, Roger retired as a civilian employee from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. In retirement they moved to Garden Spot Village in New Holland, PA. Roger thoroughly enjoyed his involvement with the Train Club, especially during the Christmas open houses. He served many volunteer hours greeting people at the information desk. Recently Roger and Janet moved to Bedford, TX to be closer to family.
Roger loved God and was always involved in the life of the local church wherever they lived. He served the Lord in many ways over the years by providing pulpit supply after college to serving as a church elder. He was actively involved in Christian Service Brigade for many years.
Roger is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janet, two sons, Alan (Susan) Cleveland and Paul (Julie) Cleveland along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at the time of internment in Mount Vision, NY.
