EULESS -- Roger Eugene Ivey Sr., 79, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at First United Methodist Church of Euless. Services are under the direction of Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or to First United Methodist Church of Euless.
Roger graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1954 and attended San Antonio College in 1956. He married June Arnold Stein in 1955 in San Antonio.
He worked at Alamo Aviation, Howard Areo Inc., Tex-Sun Beechcraft Inc and Braniff Airways in San Antonio as an Aircraft Mechanic. He also worked at Braniff International in Love Field and DFW Airport and the City of Fort Worth, Village Creek as a Master Mechanic.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Gerald Ivey and Beulah Olive Alley, and his son, Kenneth David Ivey.
Survivors: Wife, June Ivey; sons, Roger Eugene Ivey Jr., and Paul Dale Ivey; grandchildren, Lindsay Howard, Isha Mousseau and Troy Ivey; great-grandchildren, Madison Mousseau and Chloe Howard.
