Roger Allen Pool
February 18, 1948 – July 8, 2022
Roger A. Pool, loving husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. Roger was born in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in 1966. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Wesleyan University and began his career at the Fort Museum of Science and History. He went on to retire from Texas Shafts after 30 years of service. Roger had a contagious love for animals and the outdoors. He could often be found fishing, hunting, or enjoying the Texas hill country with his family and friends. He was also a dedicated Scoutmaster for many years. Roger was laid to rest in a private Masonic graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery’s The Garden of the Last Supper surrounded by family.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 52 years, Darla Pool, sons Jeff and Chris, daughter Julie, grandson Travis, their families and so many friends.
