Roger has always worked in Retail with the last 18 years for TJ Maxx, where he has been an associate and worked in the Corporate Office. Through TJ Maxx he was influential with initiating and organization of numerous volunteer groups. Some of which were: Resource Center Dallas, Helping Families in need of Christmas assistance-especially buying toys for children at Christmas and Easter. Gymnastic competition in downtown Dallas sponsored by TJ Maxx, Organized employees to meet arriving military from overseas. He volunteered when the Super Bowl was at Jerry's World. He was invited as an extra on the "Crossroads "show where the camera was on him a-lot with his smile. He also assisted in helping with Christmas Parties for the Lions of Oklahoma Boys Ranch and was involved in obtaining a grant to assist the ranch from TJ Maxx. He traveled and did extensive training for TJ Maxx sitting up new stores. Roger was an avid movie buff, seldom missing any new movie and it was said he would have made a good movie critic. He and his family enjoyed numerous family gatherings, such as a special Christmas at Lake Murrary OK, watching his brother Ron umpire baseball games, tailgating at Oklahoma State Football games, attending Kansas City Chief Football games, Nascar races with his brother and nephew. Since 1998, Roger never missed Fiesta in San Antonio, always going to the Battle of Flowers parade with his sister. While Roger enjoyed music and concerts, Madonna was a favorite. Roger was an avid sponsor and assisted so many people in AA/NA. He had a very special way to be there for so many. There are far too many to name. However, Adriene, Stacy, Sloane, Mark and Justin were prime examples. Family and friends maintain "His Smile Was Contagious".
