Roger "Shane" Schaefer

Roger Shane Schaefer of Haltom City, Texas, passed away at home on Monday, August 30, 2021, which was his 52nd Birthday. He was born to Jack Schaefer and Virginia (Smith) Schaefer in Joliet, Illinois. Shane grew up in Grand Prairie Texas, where he graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas, in 1987. He had various careers throughout his life including Automotive, Printing and Warehouse & Delivery Management/Receiving. He married Trina Marie Hoenig. Shane loved Sports, especially, his Dallas Cowboys, but most importantly loved spending time with his family and friends.

Shane is survived by his son, Jackie Oliver Nick Schaefer of Haltom City, Texas, parents, Virginia Cantrell and husband, Joe of Chandler, Texas and Jack Schaefer and wife, Christine of Grand Prairie, Texas; brother, Trae Schaefer and husband, Sean Faulkner of Dallas, Texas, sister Kim Davis Gissel and husband Mike of Fort Worth, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Trina Marie Schaefer, his older brother, Jackie Leroy Schaefer, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Lucas Funeral Home Hurst Chapel with Mark Lucas Kelly officiating.
