Ronnald Lee Calvert

February 8, 1944 — February 25, 2016

At the age of 72 Ronnie Calvert of Justin, Texas lost his battle with his extensive lung and heart issues. He is survived by his wife of 9 years Patricia Jean Calvert (affectionately Patty) and his sons, Michael Wayne Chapman, Ronald Lee Calvert, Jr. and daughters, Stacey Denise Witalis and Lana Dyan Wisdom, as well as 8 grandchildren (one preceded him in death) and one great grandchild with another on the way. His parents Fred Lee Calvert and Virgie Loretta Calvert preceded him in death. He is also survived by one sister, Sandra Ann Lewis and many, many friends and extended family.
Ronnie will be greatly missed, as he was famously friendly and outgoing with plenty of off color jokes always ready to entertain. He never met a stranger, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. On his most wonderful days you would catch him at some lake or secluded fishing hole with two or three fishing rods in the water talking Patty’s ear off. He loved the water, boats and camping out. Ronnie was a true outdoorsman. In fact that's how he earned his living mostly doing outdoor jobs. He was a member of many unions, carpenter, iron works and even General Dynamics. He was so intune with the outdoors that he could make your trees, shrubs and plants look like a beautiful park area. Basically he was a doer!! Ronnie was never still for long and loved to stay very busy.
We will be celebrating his life with a Memorial Gathering at Lucas Funeral Home, Justin, TX on Monday, March 7, 2016 form 5 til 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations to COPD Foundation at copdfoundation.org or your favorite charity are appreciated.
