Ronald Owen Chambers

Ronald Owen Chambers, age 82, passed away peacefully October 16, 2019 due to congestive heart failure. He was born September 17, 1937 in Springfield, Illinois to Owen and Helen Chambers. He was married to Judy Chambers in Park Ridge, Illinois on May 27, 1961.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Chambers; his sister Liane Clark; his daughter Tracy Chambers; daughter and husband Caryn and Tim Landers; daughter and husband Jill and Matthew Turney; grandchildren Joelle Turney, Ethan Turney, Scott Landers, and Katy Landers; nephews Jimmy and Todd Clark. Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Linda White and nephew Mike White.
He served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and was on active duty from 1955 through 1959. He worked for Sweda Cash Registers for over 30 years.
Ron was a founding member of Bear Creek Bible Church and served as a Deacon for six years, and he especially enjoyed his time as a greeter.
He became a Christian as a child with the help of a godly Sunday School teacher in his Presbyterian church.
Memorial service will be held at Bear Creek Bible Church, 1555 North Tarrant Parkway; Keller, Texas on October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. He will be interred at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
