Ronald Wayne Combs

Ronald Wayne Combs “Poppy”, 67, of Joshua, TX, passed away on March 28, 2021. He was born on December 30, 1953 in Dallas, TX. Ron was a jack of all trades, and there wasn’t a project or problem he couldn’t fix. He took great pride in being a Poppy to his grandsons and bonus granddaughters.

He never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. He was a friend to everyone, a supporter, a mentor and a hero in the eyes of many. There are not enough words to describe the impact he has made on so many lives. He was always playing jokes and no one was immune to his shenanigans.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Michaela Combs; his daughter, Brandi Hairston and husband Robert; grandsons, Zane Hairston and Gunner Hairston; his bonus granddaughters, Ashlynn and Olivia; sisters, Lisa and Linda; aunt, Auntie Bill; along with numerous family and friends.

Ron had requested no service, and has chosen to have his body donated to science for further research. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
