Ronald Gene Reddell

March 1, 1950 — October 9, 2019

Ronald “Buddy” Gene Reddell, of Justin, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2019 in his home. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, papaw, brother-in-law, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on March 1, 1950 in a log cabin in Boone County, Arkansas to Henry and Gladys Reddell. Ron had a long career with the BNSF railroad allowing him the opportunity to live in many locations, perform many jobs and complete a Master’s Degree in Transportation and Logistics from Penn State University. After retirement, he spent time working with the City of Justin volunteering on the Planning and Zoning Commission. He loved spending time outdoors especially gardening and farming and in recent years spent his time feeding his fish and maintaining his backyard. In 2006, he got the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime adventure with his brother and sister-in-law, when they whitewater rafted the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. He loved spending time with his grandkids and especially enjoyed attending their sporting events. In the Fall there were two words that reigned supreme: “College Football”; he planned his daily events on Saturdays around the TV game schedule and enjoyed attending a college game or two every season. Ron is survived by his wife Judy Reddell of Justin, Texas; daughter Lee and husband Ron Ulrich of Marshfield, Missouri; daughter Ramona and husband Jed Bradell of Wesley Chapel, Florida; son Andrew and wife Felicia Reddell of Trophy Club, Texas; daughter Kimberly Reddell of Justin, Texas; 8 Grandkids: Chanse Bradell, Brandy Bradell, Cory Bradell, Alexander Reddell, Isabella Reddell, Jacob Ulrich, Mia Reddell, and Karmalita Ulrich; sister Nina Comesano of Kansas City, Missouri; brother Jerry and his wife Mal Reddell of Darrington, Washington; sister Debbie Hunter and friend George Gainer of Leavenworth, Kansas; brother Gary and wife Lynda Covey of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
