Rosa Lee Latham Nations Pope

Rosa Lee Latham Nations Pope, 86, who lived in North Richland Hills since 1966, died September 15, 2021. Born April 29, 1935, in Elk City, OK to Emmett and Vera Mae Latham. She was the youngest of 9 children. After high school she married Gerald Travis Nations on May 17, 1955. They were married for 48 years until his death in 2003. Rosa Lee was a faithful Christian for many years and began attending Brown Trail church of Christ in 1963 with her family. She worked as the church secretary and Brown Trail School of Preaching secretary for 25 years. In September of 2007 she married Phillip Pope and they were married for almost 13 years until his death in 2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Nations; her second husband, Phillip Pope; Gary Iker, son-in-law; and great-grandson, Cannon Rothrock.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda Iker; daughter, Teresa Holladay and husband Brent; son, Gerald Travis “Jerry” Nations, Jr. and wife Kristeen; stepsons Billy, David, Mike Pope; grandchildren John Winters, Justin Winters, Tiffany White, Dana Pierce, Jessica Rothrock, Kevin Ussery, Shelley Denson, and Natalie Nations; 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 18 at Brown Trail church of Christ, 1801 Brown Trail in Bedford. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
