Rose Y. Winterink, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas. She will
always be remembered as a loving mother, to all that knew and loved her. She was born on October 31, 1924 in Lyons, Kansas to E. M. Yrene and Praxedes Yrene. Rose graduated from Deming High School,
in 1943.Rose also played the piano for her church in Deming. She worked for the United States Government from 1943 till she retired in 1980. After retirement, she learned to play the harp. She then went on to play the harp at St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Mexico. Rose was also involved in Womens Aglow and The United Methodist Womens group. She married in
September of 1952. She and her husband have three children, John, Marvin, and Rosemary, whom she
loved dearly. Rose enjoyed seeing the children participate in sports, football and wrestling for the
boys, and track for Rosemary. Rose is survived by her Husband; Johannas Winterink, Brother; Carl and wife Sandy Yrene, of Shelley, Idaho,
her Sister; Mary and husband Fred Villa, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Brother-in-law; Anton and wife Kitty Winterink, of Ottawa,
Canada, Grand children; Alex, Angela, Anna, Adam, and Ashley Sparling; Michael, and Christina Winterink, Joseph, Matthew, and David Winterink of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.There are also
eight great grand children, three in New Mexico, and five in Texas.
The visitation will be held from 6 - 8 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday August 13, 2019, at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller, TX. The interment will be Wednesday August 14, 2019, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
