Roy F. "Pete" Petersen

Roy F. “Pete” Petersen (age 85) died Saturday, July 11TH with his family at his side.

Memorial Service: 2:30pm on Thursday, July 16TH at the chapel at Trinity Terrace, 1600 Texas Street, Fort Worth.

Born in Decatur, Illinois in 1930, Mr. Petersen grew up in nearby Ramsey. He was graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, with a B.S.E.E. in 1959. His college career was interrupted by five years in the Air Force, first serving as an enlisted man before entering officer/pilot training. As a lieutenant, he completed his military career at Perrin AFB in Sherman, where he was an F-86 flight instructor.

Mr. Petersen had lived in Euless and had been an active member of St. Phillip since 1963. He worked as a field engineer for various avionic companies with corporate headquarters in California, Texas, North Carolina and Great Britain.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Peter Roy Petersen and Josephine Anderson Petersen. Survivors include his wonderful wife, Brenda Petersen; Sons, Roy and Joe Petersen and their wives, Laura and Katie; as well as eight grandchildren: A.J., Paige, Emily, Cal, Lucy, Nolan, Jessica and Bear, all of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
