Royce Neil Wilkerson

Royce Neil Wilkerson, 83, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 14, 2021 at his home in Crowley, TX.
Royce was born on February 25, 1938 in Valley View, TX to James Roy and Mary Ruby McKinney Wilkerson. He graduated from Valley View High School in 1956 and served his country in the United States Army. Royce worked many years in the aerospace industry and retired from Lockheed Martin on January 1, 1993.
He was a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington and was a longtime member of Widowed Persons Services of Tarrant County. During this time, he met Arlyne Clements, who had also suffered the loss of a spouse. Going through this experience together brought Royce and Arlyne closer and they were married in 2017. They loved being outside working in the yard and Royce loved his garden. He was always blessing others with the fruits of his labor and he was adored by all of his neighbors.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, three brothers and one son, Keith Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife, Arlyne Clements Wilkerson; son, Kevin Wilkerson & wife, Pat of Hurst; grandsons, James Wilkerson of Fort Worth and Cody Wilkerson & wife, Breanna of Krum; his first great-grandson due in June; two brothers and so many other friends and family.
A celebration of Royce’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, at Pleasantview Baptist Church; 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, TX 76017.
