Ruby Irene (Calhoun) Anderson

Ruby Irene (Calhoun) Anderson of Hurst, Texas was born on January 14th, 1933 to the late C. C. and Lillie Calhoun in Granite, Oklahoma. She passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 90 years old. She graduated from Granite High School in 1952. In 1957, she married Robert. They shared 40 wonderful years together. Ruby enjoyed being a homemaker and was at her happiest when doing for others. She will be well remembered by her family and friends.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents C. C. and Lillie, her sisters and brothers, Fanny, Betty, Laverne, Leon, Mary, Robert, and Della. She is survived by her brother, L.D. Calhoun and wife, Sue; her sister Myrtie Clarke, as well as many nieces and nephews, and even some great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. The funeral service will be at the Church of Christ in Granite, Oklahoma at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2023 with interment to follow at Granite City Cemetery.
