Ruth Marie Thompson

Ruth Marie Thompson, 81 of Grapevine, TX passed away Feb. 17, 2023.
Ruth was born Feb 21, 1941 in Wichita, KS to Joseph and Alice Hammons. A few years later the family moved to Miami, OK where she attended and graduated high school in 1959. After high school Ruth attended nursing school and became a nurse for a local Doctor. Soon after she met her husband, Marlin, and married in 1961. A few years later they moved to Coffeyville, KS where they raised 2 sons, Kevin and Kelly. She continued her nursing career until 1990.
Ruth ultimately had an opportunity for her dream of working for an airline and had moved to Dallas, TX and worked for Delta Airlines. For the next several years Ruth & Marlin enjoyed traveling the globe. Ruth enjoyed traveling, quilting, collecting unique items and showing dogs.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin, parents Joseph & Alice and her brother Joe.
She is survived by her sister Janice, her son Kevin and wife, Deana, and grandson Scotte, and her son Kelly and Granddaughter Madison.
