Ryan Alexander Smith, age 25, passed away on May 9, 2023 at his home in Dallas, Texas.
Ryan was born on June 29, 1997 in Tucson, Arizona but lived in North Texas nearly his entire life. He spent all but one of his school years at Fort Worth Christian School in North Richland Hills where he excelled at all the sports, playing soccer and football through all his middle and high school years, and being a key member of state champion teams his senior graduating year.
While sports weren’t his only interest, soccer was his passion and it was a sport he had played continuously since he was 5 years old. After graduating high school, Ryan remained active in the Fort Worth Christian School soccer program as a coach, helping to inspire and guide young players, and eventually becoming Head Middle School Boys Soccer Coach.
Ryan was a hard worker and dedicated himself to the service of others. During the pandemic lockdown, he earned his associate degree and EMT certifications, which led him to becoming a Patient Care Tech at the Children’s Medical Hospital ER in Dallas. Ryan’s commitments to his work, patients, co-workers, and friends was evident in the care he provided and the lives he touched throughout his life.
Ryan will be remembered for his infectious smiles, his snark, wit, intelligence, and his willingness to do anything that needed to be done wherever he was.
He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by his friends and family, and all those who had the pleasure to know him.
He is survived by his parents, brother, and many family and friends.
