Sam Lee Loggins was born on October 31, 1935, in Brownwood, Texas to the late Violet (Garner) Loggins and Sam Henry Loggins. He passed away on December 20, 2021, in Hurst, Texas at the age of 86 years old.
Sam graduated from Brady High School and served our country in the United States Army during Viet Nam. He was a former loan officer and then eventually retired from Colbert’s as warehouse manager. However, Sam worked until he was eighty years old with his old friend Marty Swartz building retaining walls for C&M. Sam was in the Metropolitan Who’s Who. He loved to fish and hunt and of course was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. He also loved country music with George Strait being his favorite country artist. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sheri Lynn Loggins. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Loggins of Hurst; and her children, Tiffani Chastant and husband, Jason and Brett Langford as well as their 6 grandchildren; his cousin, Raymond Garner and his former wife and friend, Dixie Thomas. Sam also leaves behind his beloved dog, Sadie.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst and graveside service being held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 27, 2021, at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.
