It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory for our mother. 

Mom was preceded in death by her father: James Reed, mother: Frances Reed and sister: Carol Brooks. 

Mom leaves behind her three children to mourn her passing: William Lea (Martha), Jennifer Lea (Bill) and Katherine Kovach (Chris). 

Mom was survived by eight grandchildren: Tariq, Kristin, Juan, Reedie, Amanda, Devin, Aidan, Katelyn, along with five great grandchildren. 

Mom was born on August 15, 1947, in San Antonio, Texas. Her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas when she was three months old. 

Mom graduated from Technical High School in 1965. She worked for Tarrant County Sheriff’s Dept from April 2, 1984, until she retired after 25 years of service on May 1, 2009. 

Mom was a Christian woman and enjoyed sharing God’s word with others. She was always there to help and lend an ear when needed. Mom enjoyed being involved and supporting her children’s activities: PTA, baseball, softball, Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts.
