Sandra Kay Stephens

Sandra Kay Stephens age 72, of Burleson, Texas passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at her home in Burleson, TX. She was born on August 29, 1950 in Marshall, Texas to James D. and Olive A. (Gilliam) Blackmon. Sandra attended Marshall Schools and graduated from Marshall High School. On August 22, 1969 she married the love of her life James A. Stephens. Sandra worked in accounting for Mrs. Baird’s and later for Freightliner Trucks where she retired. She was an avid reader with a collection of over 600 books however her true love was cruising to different places. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, working crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; daughter; Angela Michelle Stephens; and sister, Patricia Ann (Blackmon) Daigle.

She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, a loving husband of fifty-three years, James A. (Honey) Stephens; granddaughter, Vanessa Nicole; grandson, Michael James Gage and two great-grandsons, her sisters, Paulette Copeland and Brenda Gail (Blackmon) Gilliland; brother, Randall Lee Blackmon; numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends. Sandra touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
