Sandra Louise Taylor, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior with her family by her side in her home on Thursday, September 28, 2017
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main Street, Keller. Interment: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: 11 a.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home.
Sandy was born July 25, 1940, in Traverse City, Michigan, daughter of the late John E. Ashton Sr. and Marian Kelsey Ashton.
Sandy was an ordained minister and founder of J.L.M. Prison Ministries. She ministered to those on death row, was the author of the book "Creation and Re-Creation", and has served in church ministry for many years.
Sandy has enjoyed a career in business and accounting for over 60 years.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
Survivors: Children: Michael W. Smith and wife, Debra, Nancy A. Cleaver and husband, Curt, and Jill L. Lumley and husband, Dana. Grandchildren:, Matthew Smith, Sarah Storm and husband, Andrew, Rachel Smith, Christopher Cleaver, Brandon Cleaver, Ridge Lumley, Kennedy Lumley, and Paris Lumley. Her brother, John E. Ashton Jr.; sister, Carol Lidstrom and husband, Craig; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
