NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Sarah Jane Day, 90, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst.
Sarah was born in Marshall on March 29, 1926, to William Howard and Julia Beatrice Craver Schaub.She graduated from Tri-State Nursing School in Shreveport, La., in 1946. She and her husband owned and managed Tanglewood Lodge Motel and Restaurant in Shreveport for many years. Sarah returned to nursing, practicing in several different areas, and retired from GM as an industrial nurse in 1991.
Survivors: Husband, Ken Day; daughters, Becky Brooks and husband, Calvin, and Kate Young and husband, David; grandchildren, Amanda Hicks, David Brooks, Tricia Welch and Robert Brooks; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
