Shannon Dyer went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2025, in Fort Worth, TX. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 26, 1972.
A proud graduate of Godley High School, Class of 1991, Shannon was known for his musical talent as a singer and musician. His life was defined by his dual passions for protection and entrepreneurship. As the proud owner of two security businesses and two training academies, he dedicated himself to creating safer environments and empowering others with the skills necessary to do the same.
Shannon married the love of his life, Kendi Hensel, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose. He was immensely proud of his beautiful daughter, Kaylin, who was the light of his life. His dog, Yoda, brought him immense joy and comfort.
A member of Fellowship of the Parks Church, Shannon found community and brotherhood in the men’s group and had recently taken a leap of faith by signing up for his first mission trip—a testament to his growing desire to serve and share God’s love with others. Shannon's passions were displayed strongly — whether belting out karaoke, shooting pool, or staying connected with his many dear friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kendi Hensel; his cherished daughter, Kaylin Dyer; his father, James Dyer, and his wife, Sheryl; and his sisters, Chelsey Dyer, Whitney Veal, and Kristy Marshall and her husband, Jonathan. He is also survived by his Uncle Ronald Dyer and his wife, Linda; Aunt Carol Chick and her husband, Randy; mother-in-law, Sue Hensel; brother-in-law, TC Hensel, and his wife, Emily; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shannon was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jan Andrade; his brother, Richard; his grandparents, Don and Louise Dyer; and his father-in-law, Tom Hensel.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the music he created, the love he gave, and the lives he touched.
