Sharon Eloise Allen

November 5, 1942 — December 31, 2024

Burleson, Texas

Sharon Eloise Allen, 82, of Burleson, TX, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 31, 2024. Sharon is survived by her husband, John M. Allen III, her children Mike Allen, Tim (Sandra) Allen, Debra (Jimmy) Osborn, 16 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Karsell Wagin Bates, mother JuanaLynn Bates, and son Gary Karsell Allen.

Sharon was born November 5, 1942, at the Fort Sill Army base in Oklahoma to Karsell and JuanaLynn Bates. Later, she attended elementary school in Cleburne, TX, followed by middle and high school in Fort Worth. While in school, she met her husband, Johnny, whom she would marry and spend her remaining 62 years with, raising a family of four children together.

Though she worked various office jobs over the years, the apple of Sharon’s eye was being a housewife and a mom. Her deep dedication to the Lord shined evident to all, especially in raising her children to know and love Him, as well. She found solace in listening to classical music and singing lullabies from her childhood, her favorite of which was “Over in Killarney.” With the voice of an angel, a heart of gold, and the patience of a saint, she sought out silver linings in life and celebrated the good in people. Even just her presence was a warm glow. When entering a room or getting one’s attention, she would often wave her hand in the air and beam from ear to ear, sweetly saying, “Yoo-hoo!” Loved ones, friends, and others whose lives she touched treasured her as the most selflessly caring, forgiving, accepting, and loving person you could dream of.

May Sharon and her joyful countenance be honored and remembered, as we imagine she is awaiting the chance to smile and say, “Yoo-hoo!” to us all again.
