Sharon Marie Atkins

Sharon Marie Atkins passed away peacefully on August 20, 2015 in Euless. She was 71 years of age.

Celebration Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Gateway Church, North Fort Worth Campus, 4209 Basswood Blvd., Fort Worth 76137.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Sharon was born on January 18, 1944 in Leavenworth, Kansas to James and Mary Friedly. She worked for the Social Security Administration until her retirement in 2003. Sharon loved to help people and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in passing by her loving husband of 51 years, Carl Atkins, who passed on April 13, 2014.

Survivors: Daughter, Mary Thompson; son-in-law, Stephen Thompson; grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Thompson of Baylor University and Cole Wesley Thompson of Grapevine; and many loving family members and friends
