Sharon Virginia (Jarvis) Beach, left this earth on March 18, 2024 surrounded by beloved family. Sharon was born in 1947 on January 25th to Margaret and Robert Jarvis in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the second child, the younger sister of Ronald Jarvis. After the death of their father, Sharon and her brother were raised by several family members, before finally moving from Missouri to Galveston, Texas. Galveston is the place she considered to be home and where she met her husband of 54 years, Billy Beach.
Sharon was a graduate of Ball high school where she was involved in many activities, her favorite was being on the school drill team, the ‘Tornettes’. She developed many life long friendships. High School was where she first encountered George “Billy” Beach III. They did not immediately hit it off. It wouldn’t be till years later when they were introduced again and quickly fell in love.
Sharon and Billy had a whirlwind romance and were married July 5, 1969. They had three children. Robert William, Casey Sean and Lance Matthew Beach. They had many adventures traveling and living in several states. Known for her big personality and love of her family, Sharon will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The Beach family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
In January she had brain surgery and was healing at home until she had a massive stroke one week before her passing. Her final moments were spent peacefully in North Richland Hills, surrounded by her adoring family.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and granddaughter Presley Janae. She is survived by her husband Billy, three sons Robert, Casey, Lance, daughter-in-law Amanda, grandchildren Brendan William, Madison Marie, Caden Marlene, Brady Matthew, and great-grandson Blake William Beach.
A visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas on Friday evening and the family will receive friends there from 5-7pm. Saturday at 11am there will be a celebration of life service at Lucas Funeral Home followed by graveside service at Bear Creek Cemetery.
