Sharon Leigh Flores, 59, passed away July 20, 2021 in Fort Worth. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 1, at Crowley House of Hope, 200 Magnolia St. in Crowley. Please wear bright, comfortable clothes and come prepared to celebrate her amazing legacy. A light lunch will be served.
Sharon was born September 14, 1961 in Nashville, Tennessee to Don and Juanita Bilbry Griffin. She moved to Texas when she was six months old. She grew up in Fort Worth, and graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth in 1980. She worked at Presbyterian Night Shelter for many years where she loved helping clients improve their lives. Later, she spent many hours volunteering at Crowley House of Hope. She always had a servant’s heart and was willing to help in any situation. Before working, she was the best stay-at-home mom in the entire world.
Sharon married Danny Flores April 16, 1983, and they were happily married for 38 years. She loved the Texas Rangers, country music, volunteering, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Don Griffin in 1985.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Danny; daughters, Jennifer Smith and Melissa Flores; mother, Juanita Griffin; brother, David Griffin and wife, Lynn; in-laws, Raymond and Minnie Flores; sister-in-law, Elaina Clements and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Chad and Carter Smith; and many other friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Crowley House of Hope, 200 Magnolia St., Crowley, TX 76036.
The family wishes to thank all the friends and family who have reached out during this difficult time. It is wonderful to see how well-loved she was and that she left a lasting impression on so many that knew her.
