Sharron Ann Richardson, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on May 16, 2024, after a long, hard fought battle with dementia. She passed away at 77 years old at home, surrounded by all of her children.
She was born in Gallup, New Mexico on February 28, 1947, to Norris and Octavia Jenkins.
Sharron was mother to Ginger, Michael, Tanya, Kelli and Mandy. She raised her children with love and devotion in Watauga, Texas with her husband Robert (Bob).
Sharron stayed home with her children until her youngest started kindergarten. After that she went to work in the childcare industry where she was an assistant director for more than twenty years. After she retired, she still watched all of her grandchildren every day because of how much she loved being around children.
Sharron enjoyed watching General Hospital, professional sports and attending all of her grandchildren’s activities.
Sharron was preceded in death by her husband Robert Richardson, her granddaughter Michaela Nichole “Niki” Richardson, her father and mother, Norris and Octavia Jenkins, her brother Norris J.R. Jenkins, her grandparents, Claire and Florence Dowden, and her sister in laws Connie Jenkins and Bonnie Jenkins.
Sharron is survived by her daughter Ginger Butler and her husband Daryl, her son Michael Richardson and his wife Kathy, her daughter Tanya Marr and her husband Ellwood, her daughter Kelli Lee and her husband Terry, and her daughter Mandy Slayton and her husband Clint, her brother Bill Jenkins, her brother John Henry Jenkins and his wife Sondra, her brother Richard Jenkins, her brother Robert Jenkins and his wife Lori, her sister Candace Brust and her husband Tom, and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.
