SHEILA LORAINE (LINDSEY) WINKLE, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, was born on October 30, 1963, in St. Louis, MO, to Gene Ray Lindsey and Shelby Jean (Thurston) Lindsey. She departed this life on January 26, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 58.
Sheila grew up in Berryville, Arkansas, and was active on the junior high and high school basketball and track teams. After graduating high school in 1982, she attended Northwest Vocational Technical School in Springdale, Arkansas, and received her diploma in Secretarial Studies.
On July 16, 1983, Sheila was united in marriage with Mark Winkle, and they lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where Sheila worked in a law office while Mark finished college. They moved to Fort Worth, TX, in 1984, and Sheila worked as a secretary for NACBA in North Richland Hills, TX. She quit that job to raise their two girls. In 2005 she started working again, this time as a receptionist and administrative assistant at NorthWood Church in Keller, TX. In 2015 she retired to spend more time with her grandchildren.
Sheila will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Mimi by all who knew and loved her. She loved gardening, binging on television series, traveling, walking, and hiking. She also loved her Lord.
Sheila is survived by her husband Mark; two children: Felicia Johns and husband Chris of Rhome, TX, and Chelsea Olson and husband Curtis of Haltom City, TX; four grandchildren: Luke Johns, Kate Johns, Logan Olson, and Emma Olson; three brothers: Scott Lindsey and wife Marilyn of Willard, MO, Brian Lindsey, and William Lindsey; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
The visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Milestone Church in Keller, TX. Interment will follow in the Bourland Cemetery in Keller, TX.
