Shelley Lynne Harris, age 53, of Fort Worth passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Fort Worth.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller.

Shelley was born in New Kensington, (near Pittsburgh) Pennsylvania on October 29, 1964. She was the daughter of Robert Carl Peterson and Joanne Patricia (Plichta) Peterson.
Shelley attended Pittsburgh schools as a child, and moved to Garland, Texas in 1980, and is a graduate of Garland High School, Garland, Texas. She later attended the American Airline Saber school for travel, and graduated as a Travel Consultant. Shelley worked as a Travel Consultant starting with Carlson Wagonlit Travel since 1996 and for American Express Travel since 1998.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Peterson.
Shelley Harris is survived by her husband, Mikel Harris; one son, Joshua Carl Whitacre; two daughters, Kara Nicole (Whitacre) Ryan from McKinney, Texas, and Jessica Lynn (Harris) Myers and her husband, Charlie Myers of Carmel, Indiana; mother, Joanne Peterson of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Daniel Peterson and Robert (Bob) Peterson and his wife, Cyndi Peterson, also from Garland, Texas.
