Sherry Prine Neustupa, 71, of Euless, Texas passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2023, with her loved ones by her side.
Sherry was born on May 4, 1952, to Thomas Prine and Betty Short. The first part of her childhood was spent on Diamond Hill in Fort Worth, of which there are many stories and memories she made there. Her mother moved the family to Central Arlington for a better start in 1960 and she spent the majority of her life in the heart of Arlington. It is where she met her ex-husband, David, and they raised their two children. Sherry spent most of her days as a homemaker and also worked her concession stand on the weekends for “mad money.” Sherry’s career as a USPS mail carrier didn’t start until the early 90’s. She worked for the Grapevine post office for almost 30 years before retiring in 2021. Sherry was an avid reader of crime stories of any fictional kind. She also loved reality television, jigsaw puzzles, playing slot machines, and her latest obsession - playing Candy Crush.
Above all, Sherry cherished her family. Her greatest joy was found in the time spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Penny. She leaves behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by all that loved her, including her partner and best friend Charles Rossiter; daughter Misty Peterson (Brian); son Tommy Neustupa (Kara); granddaughters Paige, Kinsey and Penny Peterson; big brother Danny Prine; sister Sheila Fisher; nephews Danny Prine (Marita), Shawn Fisher, and Jonathan Fisher (Bella); along with extended family and friends who will forever miss her presence.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home-Grapevine, TX. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at:
