Sidonie Kashika

Sidonie Kashika Kayembe “Mua Mutombo”, resident of Fort Worth TX, passed away peacefully at age 71 in presence of her loving family on Saturday, January 14th 2023 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Downtown Fort Worth TX after a short illness.

Sidonie was born on March 14th 1951 in Democratic Republic of Congo, grew up in Kolwezi. She started doing business at age 16 and became an active member of a group of business women in Kolwezi called “Movement Des Jeunes Femmes.” Sidonie had the ability to reach women of all ages in a deep and positive way. She moved to Kinshasa in 1985 where she worked as Cambist (broker) until she moved from the Democratic Republic of Congo to the US in 1997. In the US, She made Fort Worth-TX her home. She was a dedicated and loyal employee of Bright Point and Total Enterprise for 9 years then transferred to Ingram Micro Mobility for 17 years. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of laughing, eating and spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed dressing up in nice clothes, nice jewelry and changed hairstyles often. She was a member of Mountain of Prayer in Euless, All Nations Church in Hurst then The City Of God Community Church in Fort Worth, TX.

Sidonie is preceded in death by her parents Barthelemy Kayembe and Marie Kayowa Tshimbalanga. Her brothers Jose Kongolo and Michel Mukanda. Her sisters Lucienne Tshibola, Miandabu Kayembe, Fifi Kanyeba, Josephine Mbuyi and Musawu Kayembe.

She is survived by her children: Toto Kabey Kateng, Eric Makaya Kabuya, Mamie Kayowa, Christian Ngilo, Nicky Kamuanya, Mania Mbuyi Kimpela, Joel Matondo Kimpela; her brothers, Floribert Ntumba, Aime Kayembe, Johny Ngeleka, Andre Lukusa; her sisters, Rosalie Ndaya and Mamie Kamuanya; her 22 grand-children and 2 great grand-children and numerous nieces and nephews including Tshoutchou Kayowa Okoma, Joseph Kayembe and Depitshou Kayembe. Numerous in-laws.

Family, friends and others whose lives Sidonie touched are invited to visitation held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lucas Funeral Home Hurst Chapel on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Cross City Church located at 1000 Airport Freeway, Euless, Texas with Pastor Godefroid Kabuang and Pastor Flavien Kazadi officiating.

Burial will be at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Repass will follow in Irving at Interconnection Banquet Hall located at 3325 Country Club Drive West, Irving, Texas 75038.
