Spencer Todd Bitton

February 6, 1965 — January 6, 2024

.Spencer Todd Bitton, (58) of Flower Mound, Texas passed away on January 6, 2024
Todd was born February 6, 1965 in Ogden, Utah. He attended T.O. Smith Elementary, Mount Ogden Jr. High and Ogden High School. He graduated from Ogden High in 1983. Throughout his youth he was an active baseball, basketball, and football player. His Junior Olympic basketball team competed in the national championship tournament in Florida. Todd also grew up an avid skier, he loved Snow Basin ski resort and was a regular speedster down all the slopes. He worked various jobs through high school including Alpine Sports, construction and supported his brother Randy in his asphalt maintenance business. Todd met the love of his life Deborah Lyle in high school where the two started a romance that continued through his passing. Todd & Deborah were married in 1986. They then went on to attend Weber State together where they graduated in 1990.
After graduating with a degree in Technical Sales, Todd started his professional career working for Browning Ferris Industries (BFI) in Salt Lake City which gave him the experience to move on for successful engagements with Codman Johnson & Johnson, STERIS Medical and Stryker. He moved his family from Kaysville, UT to Concord Township, Ohio where they lived 3 years before heading south to Texas in 1999 to Flower Mound. Once becoming empty nesters, they moved to their home on their beloved Callender Lake where they spent the last 8 years. One of his most recent titles he loved was becoming G’Pop.
Todd, as he is known by his Utah family & friends, and Spencer by all the good folks in Texas, is survived and tenderly missed by his wife Deborah (Lyle), sons Connor (Sami) & Cameron (Sara) and daughter Lauren plus his three grandchildren Parker, Ellie and Juniper who all reside nearby in Texas. He is also survived by his parents Spencer Jay Bitton & Venice (Olson) of North Ogden, three brothers Mike (Lana) of Park City UT, Randy (Jacki) of No. Ogden UT, Larry (Kristie) of Henderson, NV and sister Leslie Judd (Ryan) of Orem, UT. Over the years Todd rescued several dogs. He leaves behind four beautiful wet-nosed fur babies that miss him dearly.
Todd loved the outdoors. While growing up in northern Utah he enjoyed hunting and fishing with family. The annual deer hunts with his dad and brothers were a highlight. Although he enjoyed the early days of Powder Mountain ski resort, his real love was Snow Basin. Sunny powder days were always a special treat. Ski trips from Ohio and Texas were a much-anticipated event… although not nearly as frequent as he would have liked. Spencer excelled in his career and achieved much recognition for his sales and management achievements. Todd cherished his time raising his three children and watching them excel in whatever extracurricular activities they engaged in… Lauren with cheerleading, Cameron with golf and Connor with wakeboarding. Having a beautiful home with a dock right on the lake gave the whole family plenty of opportunity to enjoy being on the water where they created many wonderful memories. Being on the water was his favorite place to be. Todd loved having family and dogs around. His annual crawfish boil was looked forward to by family, friends and neighbors.
There will also be a celebration of life in Ogden, Utah at Union Grill, 315 24th Street from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, Deborah and kids would appreciate donations to OperationKindness.Org, a lifesaving animal shelter here in Texas that is near and dear to Spencer’s heart.
