Stanley Hill

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Stanley Hill, a beloved husband, brother and friend. Stanley passed October 10, 2024. Born on October 19, 1945, in Taylor, TX, Stanley was the son of Lillian Hughes and Bernie Hill. 

A dedicated community servant, Stanley actively contributed to the Watauga Parks Advisory Board and the Watauga Zoning Board of Adjustments. His commitment to bettering his community leaves a lasting legacy that will be fondly remembered. 

Stanley attended Barnett High School in 1964 and pursued higher education at TCJC. On July 3, 1980, he exchanged vows with his beloved wife, Jan Hill, whom he cherished deeply. 

In his leisure time, Stanley was an enthusiast of numerous sports, including baseball, basketball, golf, tennis, football, fishing, hunting, water skiing, and gardening. His vibrant spirit and zest for life endeared him to many. 

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Clark and Bernie Hill.

Stanley Hill is survived by his loving wife, Jan Hill; his father-in-law, Walter Holleman; his brother Bernie Hill (Dorothy); his sisters-in-law: Kathy Bryant and Donna Williams; his nieces: Robin Bryant, Ida Luster, Kirsten Bryant, Tammy Perkins, Kristin Wilson, Kathy Kovach, Martha Gallo Lea , Jennifer Lea and Cheryl Blakely (Grant); his nephews: D.J. Bryant, Jerry Jeff Bryant, Brian Ridingson, Gary Ridings, Aron Wilson, Darlyn Luster, Newt Langston, Bill Lea, Gary Hill (Karon) and Allen Hill; as well as numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews – as well as great-great nieces and nephews.   

Funeral services and ceremonies to honor and celebrate Stanley's life will be held at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, TX Saturday, November 2nd at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude in memory of Stanley.   

Stanley leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and passion that will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
