Stanley Glenn Parchman went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at an area hospital.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 3rd, at 11 am at First Baptist Church of Roanoke, 205 N. Pine St., the Rev. Dr. Bruce Barber will be officiating. Stanley will be interred in Medlin Cemetery, Trophy Club, following the service. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Thursday, September 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S Main St., Keller, 76248.
Stanley Glenn Parchman was born on May 12th, 1929 in Birdville Texas to W. Haly Parchman and Georgia Gladys Rone. He attended Birdville school district for twelve years and received his high school degree. He went on to own multiple businesses including the Rapid Mart store in North Richland Hills and the Suburban Motors car lot in Haltom City. He then worked for and retired from James Wood Automotive in Decatur. He fell in love and married his wife Vontilla Bell Parchman on April 4th, 1970 and they were married for 41 years until her death in 2012. Stan was active in his church and community for the remainder of his life and was a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his son Dr. Wallace Townsend-Parchman and his wife Dr. Janis Townsend-Parchman; daughter Deborah Castorena and husband Jaime; son-in-law Dale Blevins; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents W. Haly Parchman and Georgia Gladys Rone; brother Haly Parchman Jr.; sisters Anita Parchman Bussey and Gayle Guenther; his wife Vontilla Bell Parchman; stepdaughters Linda Blevins and June Sharpless; and grandson Chad Blevins.
