Stella Terpack Turko, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2019, in Bedford, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Stella enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family. Her favorite pastime was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers. Stella will be remembered by her family for her steadfast love and devotion and for instilling many family traditions that will be carried on by generations present and future.
Born in Mollenauer, PA, on August 19, 1927 to Mary and John Terpack, Stella was the second to youngest daughter of 8 children. She married Frank Turko, Jr., in 1947 and together they shared 25 years of marriage and raised 4 children: Connie, Jim, Cindy, and Chris. She also has 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Stella was employed by St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, where she retired and moved to Texas to be with her daughters.
Stella is survived by her children Cindy Dotchin, Chris Laudermith (Scott), daughter-in-law Donna Turko and son-in-law Bob Spagnoli; grandchildren Ryan Spagnoli (Tiffany), Tommy Spagnoli (Wendi), James Turko, Lori Maceikis (Tom), Brian Turko (Sarah), Nicole Becker (Doug), Mandy Pate (James) and Steve Herring; great-grandchildren Ruthie Kirk, TJ Spagnoli (Meghan), Ally Herring, Brandon Spagnoli, Ava Spagnoli, Kailyn Turko, Emma Pate, Ever Meadors, Jacob Turko, Aaron Pate, Mackayla Herring, Danika Maceikis and Brodie Becker; and great-great grandchildren Laila Echols and Ivy Spagnoli.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and John Terpack, husband Frank Turko Jr., daughter Connie Spagnoli, son Jim Turko; siblings Mike Terpack (Irene), Margaret Biernacki (Wallace), John Terpack (Mildred), Bernadine Haluszak (Mike), Francis Terpack (Ester), Dorothy Warholak (John) and Bernard Terpack (Jenny).
