Stephanie Ann Freeman

December 19, 1960 — July 16, 2024

“Beloved brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Celebration of Life Announcement for Stephanie Ann (Baker) Freeman

Stephanie Ann Freeman was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother (Mimi), and friend. She passed from this life surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, in Dallas and was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 63 years of age.

Stephanie was born on December 19, 1960, to Willard and Gayle Baker in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a graduate of Putnam City High School in 1979, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Occupational Therapy. She began her career in Oklahoma at Mercy Hospital and after a few years she discovered her true passion for working with children through home health and ultimately various school districts for the majority of her career. After 41 years as a dedicated therapist, she retired from Northwest ISD, although she continued to use her gift of teaching, training, and helping others even after retirement.

Stephanie married the love of her life, Glenn Freeman on July 9th, 1983, in Bethany, Oklahoma and they were blessed by two beautiful children, Ashley Beth and Amy Catherine. She loved spending time with her family and taking trips with them to the beach or to Arkansas. Gardening, cooking, reading, and trying new hobbies were just a few of the things she loved. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her three grandchildren reading, playing games, and teaching them about God. She also enjoyed spending time being involved in her church and learning about Jesus. Stephanie’s life was characterized by generosity, passion, creativity, and faith.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Freeman; daughter Ashley Faram and her husband, William; daughter Amy Freeman; sister, Tracey Swan and her husband, Sheldon; brother, Dean Baker; sister, Carrie Morris; and grandchildren Liam, Claire, and Graham; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other beloved family members.

To celebrate Stephanie’s life, a visitation will be held at Countryside Bible Church, 250 Countryside Ct, Southlake, TX 76092 on Tuesday, July 23rd from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Cemetery in Colleyville, TX.
