Stephen Neil Scott Sr., known as Steve to many and Papa to a special few, passed away on Thursday April 18th 2019 suddenly and unexpectedly during surgery after suffering a heart attack. Although he was born in Stillwater, OK on January 1st 1951, he lived in many different central U.S. states throughout his childhood including Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas. Steve graduated in 1969 from Shawnee Mission South High School in Overland Park, Kansas and attended some college at Kansas University as a Voice Major. In 1977 he met the love of this life, Sally Jane Marie Beavan. Steve and Sally were happily married 40 years ago on August 19th of 1978 then built their family home in Grapevine Texas, raising their four children there. Steve worked in the Air Freight field at Main Freight for over 25 years, retiring successfully in 2014. Steve had a wonderful voice and appreciation for music, was an incredible cook, and loved to watch sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys!). However, Steve was first and foremost a family man; He loved his wife, his children, and 6 grandchildren with all of his heart and will forever be remembered by the joy that he brought them all.
