Steven Edward Anderson, age 62, passed away on September 20, 2016 in the historic Oakhurst neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas.
Service: There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church in Keller.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church in Keller.
Steve was born in Texarkana, Texas on September 27, 1953. He grew up in Keller and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1978 with a degree in accounting and economics. Steve worked for the family business, Colonial Cabinets, until 1995 when he went to work for Wurth Louis and Company.
Steve was a dedicated husband, father and Pa, as well as a longtime member of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in passing by his mother, Ann Anderson; and his brother, Clay Anderson.
Survivors: Steve is survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Mary McEntire Anderson; their sons, Whit and Taylor; daughters-in-law, Katie and Nicole; and grandchildren, Luke and Emma Kate, who lovingly knew him as Pa. He is further survived by his father, Gene Anderson; sister, Janan Anderson; brother, Blake Anderson; brothers-in-law, Mike McEntire, Dwight Childress, and Martin Ransom; sisters-in-law, Betty Anderson, Leigh Oatman, Kristi McEntire, and Leanna Childress; nieces and nephews: Mark Childress, Kyle and Katy Anderson, John and William McEntire, Robert and Rachel Brasher, Callie Oatman, Carter and Addi Claire Anderson; and many life-long friends.
