Steven Craig Connell

Steve was born March 29th 1960, and passed on December 24th 2022. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church of Burleson Texas on January 7th at 11am.

Steve and his wife Tambra(Tami) met at FCC Burleson in 1980 during youth group. They both were active members of FCC Burleson for several years and were volunteers with the youth group programs.

Steve worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 20+ years. He received his computer engineering degree from the University of Texas Arlington in 2005. Steve retired from the highway department in 2010, and went to work full time for Dickies Corp. as their Automatic Workload Analyst. He worked up until the time of death. He loved his work and solving any and all computer problems.

Steve and Tami were married June 7th 1986 and were the proud parents of Ashley (35) and Shannon(30). He loved his girls so very much and was a very active part of their lives as children and adults. He was so very proud of all of their accomplishments.

Most recently he received the honor of being PeePaw to his granddaughter Autumn, who was born on March 3rd 2022. She has his infectious smile and beautiful blue eyes. They loved each other dearly.

Steve loved woodworking, and had most recently taken up leather work. He was planning the set up of his new barn at his passing.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Smith and Doris Connell, and his brothers John Connell and Buddy Connell.

He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Tambra Connell, daughters Ashley Connell and Shannon Ramsey, granddaughter Autumn Riney, Father in Law Thomas Broyles, Sister in Law Stephanie Dutschmann and her husband Jeremy and their two children Brady and Kacey, Niece Debbie Connell and her children.
